Speaking of a Thanksgiving Menu...

Every year it's the same thing at my house. The fun and excitement of, "what will we cook for our vegan Thanksgiving?!" mixed with the anxiety and dread of "what will we cook for our vegan Thanksgiving!??" Old favorites like green bean casserole and homemade cranberry sauce compete with shiny new ideas (Jackfruit tacos?!). What's to be the centerpiece: seitan, tofu, Tofurkey? A vegan turducken?

The fact is that when it comes to vegan Thanksgiving feasts, the possibilities are nearly endless. There are so many amazing possibilities for main courses, sides, and desserts that it can make one a little dizzy just trying to nail it down. But never fear: it can be done!

So tell us, what are your Thanksgiving plans? Comments please! If you'd like to share an original vegan recipe with us, we'd love to post it - and give you full credit of course! :D

I'm all about non-traditional. We're having penne vodka (from VCON) with baked onion rings, kale chips and chocolate chip banana bread pudding.

Lauren, that sounds AMAZING. Particularly the part about the chocolate chip banana bread pudding!!

I'm the only vegan in my family. One of my cousins is a vegetarian. She isn't coming for Thanksgiving this year.

I'm making the rolls (Outrageously Easy Big Bread from vegweb). I'm also making sweet potato pie, vegan orange cranberry stuffing, vegan twice-baked potatoes and I'm going to cook up a small Field Roast Celebration Roast.

I imagine there will also be a fruit salad.

I'm really lucky--bit by bit, 4/6 of my immediate family members have gone vegan (the other two are vegetarian), so my family's Thanksgiving is super vegan friendly. We won't give up on traditional Thanksgiving dishes; mashed potatoes and stuffing are essential. Our main course consists of a couple of these little Tofu Turkeys, which are so cute!
